As a Canadian, I generally don't need to worry about the cost of healthcare. In fact, my biggest worry is wait times. But apparently down south, it's still a big issue. To be honest, I'm not sure what exactly happened with Obama and his supposed Healthcare reforms or if they ever went through. I guess this means Americans still should have health insurance.
Well at least this company has a sense of humor about why you should have it. I would certainly want insurance if I was ever in this situation:
Or this one:
Or if my kid was this stupid:
But I think I'll just stay in Canada and enjoy my free healthcare.
EDIT: Images claim I'm taking them from a site called Toxel but this only appears via Internet Explorer for me (as opposed to Firefox). This has been fixed, sorry about that!
There's never a perfect solution, but I'm a supporter of universal healthcare.

ReplyDeleteHey I'm a Canadian too, but I'm in a bit different situation.
ReplyDeleteThough, as a Canadian, I'm covered from medical emergencies such as the ones shown in your pictures, I'm still not protected from non emergency, but still important issues.
These include eyecare and dental care, which sucks. I used to be covered by my school as a student, but no longer :(
Take any health insurance as a gift though, because it must suck ass to have none.
lol nice

ReplyDeleteBest part about being in America, I haven't used any healthcare in 5 years but still pay for it. I'd much rather just pay for it when I need it.

There are many things to consider when contemplating which type of health insurance is most beneficial to you and how much coverage you really need. If you are working and receive insurance through your employer investigate how much coverage you are really provided in terms of health care.
