Why are you on the Food Network?

A particular person caught my interest the other day thanks to a family member. Now, if you're like my sister and regularly watch the Food Network you may have also heard of Sandra Lee. Now, what makes Lee so special? Well, she's on a COOKING (big emphasis on that word) channel, and this is the kind of stuff her show makes:

What. Is. This. Nonsense. Not a single bit of baking done, all store bought goods and then rearranged in the tackiest fashion possible.

Oh wait, she even has books.

Then again, I'm not too surprised. I mean, this is what she used to sell prior to her "no cooking" cooking show.

  4. I love some of her alcohol concoctions, she seems to just love getting trashed on her show and making up whatever food she wants.

  5. Yep that's about right. you don't have to be able to cook to have a show. Just like you don't have to have any talent to be a singer

  6. Well... It's the Food Network, not the Cooking Network. Even to it's ridiculously stupid, they get ratings when they target the part of their audience that wants to have tasty-ish things without actually doing work.

It's all about money in the long run.

  32. I'm actually studying to be a pastry chef and this pisses me off. I've watched the food network for YEARS now and I must say its gone to shit. I mean shes always been on the air, and I've always hated her, but now they have so many shit chefs on there that at that rate they'll all be like her.
